To remove the Wi-Fi Direct printing configuration on your HP ENVY 6020e, follow these steps:

Option 1: Disable Wi-Fi Direct on the Printer

  1. On the printer control panel, press and hold the Wi-Fi Direct button (🖧) for about 3 seconds.
  2. If the Wi-Fi Direct feature was ON, this will turn it OFF.
  3. Now, reconnect your PC using the regular Wi-Fi network.

Option 2: Remove the Wi-Fi Direct Connection from Your PC

  1. Open Windows Settings (Win + I).
  2. Go to Devices > Printers & scanners.
  3. Find your HP ENVY 6020e (Wi-Fi Direct) connection.
  4. Click on it and select Remove device.
  5. Restart your PC.

Option 3: Reinstall the Printer with Regular Wi-Fi Connection

1. Forget the Wi-Fi Direct Network:

  • Click on the Wi-Fi icon in the taskbar.
  • Find the Wi-Fi Direct network (e.g., "DIRECT-XX-HP ENVY 6020e").
  • Right-click it and choose Forget.

2. Reconnect to your home Wi-Fi:

  • Download and install HP Smart (HP Smart app link).
  • Add your HP ENVY 6020e using the guided setup.
