Hi @greyno ,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand you are trying to set up your HP Envy 7645 printer with your new HP ENVY Desktop PC TE02-0000i is a straightforward process. Here's a step-by-step guide to help you:

  • Unboxing: If your printer has been packed away, start by unboxing it. Ensure that all the components are present, including the printer, power cord, ink cartridges, and any documentation.
  • Power on the Printer: Plug in your printer and power it on by pressing the power button. Wait for it to initialize.
  • Connect to Power: Use the power cord to connect the printer to a power source.
  • Connect to PC: You have a few options for connecting your printer to your desktop PC:
  • USB Connection: If your printer and PC are close to each other, you can connect them using a USB cable. Simply plug one end of the USB cable into the printer and the other end into a USB port on your desktop.
  • Wireless Connection (Wi-Fi): If your printer and PC are on the same Wi-Fi network, you can connect them wirelessly. Follow the printer's instructions to connect it to your Wi-Fi network. Then, on your desktop PC, navigate to the Control Panel or Settings, depending on your operating system, and add the printer using the "Add a printer" or "Devices and Printers" option. Select your printer from the list of available devices and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
  • Ethernet Connection: If you prefer a wired connection, you can connect your printer directly to your router using an Ethernet cable. Once connected, follow similar steps as for the wireless connection to add the printer to your desktop PC.
  • Install Printer Drivers: Once your printer is connected to your desktop PC, you may need to install the necessary printer drivers. If you're using a recent version of Windows, it may automatically detect and install the drivers for your printer. If not, you can download the drivers from the HP website. Visit the HP support website, enter your printer model (Envy 7645), and download the drivers for your operating system.
  • Test Printing: Once the drivers are installed, try printing a test page to ensure that your printer is set up correctly. You can do this by opening a document or image on your desktop PC and selecting the print option. Choose your HP Envy 7645 printer from the list of available printers and follow the prompts to print.
