If your HP OfficeJet 8125e printer is not scanning, here are some steps to help troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

 

Check for Software and Driver Installation

HP Smart App: Ensure that the HP Smart app is installed on your Windows 11 computer. This app is essential for scanning and managing your printer functions.

Install Full Feature Software: Make sure you have the full feature software installed for your printer. You can download it from the HP Software and Driver Downloads page by entering your printer model and operating system.

 

Connection Verification

Check Printer Connection: Confirm that your printer is properly connected to the computer over USB or connected to the same Wi-Fi network if you are trying to scan wirelessly.

Restart Devices: Try restarting your printer, computer, and router to refresh the connection.

 

Windows Settings

Scanner Setup in Windows:

  • Go to Settings > Devices, and make sure your printer is listed under Printers & Scanners.
  • If not, click on Add a printer or scanner to set it up.

Run Scanner Troubleshooter:

  • Go to Settings > Update & Security > Troubleshoot > Additional troubleshooters.
