The 4620 Printer seems to work fine with a new installation of Windows 10, but attempts to setup drivers and utilities using HP Smart App fails to recognize USB connected printer. I have no need to setup for a WiFi connection, since the printer sits next to my Windows computer, so a USB cord makes more sense. As noted above, the printer is connected, since it works without benefit of the utility software.
An suggested solution for this issue will be appreciated.

I see that you're unable to set up the printer on USB. I'd recommend you go through the steps from the document HP Printers - 'Device Setup Failed' or 'Unknown Device' Message Displays During USB Installation (Wi... to resolve the issue.
