Hi @frkjr,

Welcome to The HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I understand your HP OfficeJet 8015e All-In-One Printer shows a "setup incomplete" error message, it can be due to several reasons, including firmware issues, network connectivity problems, or incomplete software installation.

Here are some steps to help resolve this issue:

Step 1: Restart Printer and Computer

  1. Turn off your printer.
  2. Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
  3. Turn off your computer.
  4. Wait for 60 seconds.
  5. Plug in the power cord to the printer and turn it on.
  6. Turn on your computer and try printing again.

Step 2: Check Network Connection

  1. Ensure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
  2. Check if the Wi-Fi signal is strong and stable.
  3. If using a wired connection, make sure the Ethernet cable is securely connected.

Step 3: Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer

  1. On the printer control panel, go to Setup or Settings.
  2. Select Printer Maintenance or Printer Update.

  2. Install the software following the on-screen instructions.

Step 5: Reset the Printer

  1. On the printer control panel, go to Setup or Settings.
  2. Select Printer Maintenance or Restore Settings.
  3. Choose Restore Factory Defaults or a similar option.
  4. Follow the prompts to reset the printer to factory settings.
  5. After the reset, follow the initial setup process again.

Step 6: Use HP Smart App
