Product: HP C4795 all in one printer
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I tried to install software for HP C4795, either by by direct download or HP Support Assistant. The software that I need (HP Solution Center, HP Imaging Device Functions) did not install. After running the .exe file, it unzipped and I followed the instructions, there was a message to "Restart" (to delete files) , "Installatation will continue after restart". (This happened suspiciously quickly, without the usual Wizard steps. ) However, there was no sign that installation continued and the desired programs were not installed.

 

I suppose I could try installing with the original CD, but my previous HP Solution Center stopped working when I upgraded to Windows 10 from Windows 7, so I haven't tried this.

 

Until the software is installed, I can't scan. Help will be appreciated.
