macOS 10.15 Catalina

I just purchased a refurbished HP color laser printer MFO 3301fdw.  I use Mac OS Catalina10.5.  When I try to download the software for the printer I get an error message saying the download requires Mac OS 15 or later.  Yet the documentation says the printer works with my operating system.  Is there software that will allow me to download to my operating system?

@itulem, Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

Please follow this link - HP Color LaserJet Pro MFP 3301fdw Software and Driver Downloads | HP® Support
Change the OS and download the software.

You may use Apple’s Built-in AirPrint Driver (No Software Needed)

Your printer supports AirPrint, so macOS 10.15 can print to it without HP drivers:

Steps:

  1. Connect the printer to your Wi-Fi or directly via USB.
  2. Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
  3. Click "+" to add a printer.
  4. Your printer should appear with "AirPrint" or Secure AirPrint listed as the driver.
  5. Select it and click Add

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
