Printer 6960
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

My printer is printing the report HP network configuration page several times a day.

With the HP ink service this cost me to many pages a month.

My question is how to stop the run to have daily several prints of this report.

currently the printer is off or without paper to avoid needless prints.

Thank for responding.

@Corinn3 Welcome to HP Community!

I understand that the 6960 Printer is printing the HP network configuration page.

Do not worry. I will try to fix the issue.

Please perform the hard reset and check for the issue.

  1. Turn the printer on, if it is not already on.

  2. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you continue.

  3. With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer.

  4. Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.

  5. Wait at least 60 seconds.

  6. Plug the power cord back into the wall outlet.

  7. Reconnect the power cord to the rear of the printer.

  8. Turn on the printer, if it does not automatically turn on.

  9. Wait until the printer is idle and silent before you proceed

If the issue still persists, please update the firmware.

Try these steps to re-enable the web-services -

Reboot the devices.

Step 2 Enable the Web-Services -

1. From the top of the screen, touch or swipe down the tab to open the Dashboard, and then touch ( Setup ).

2. Touch Web Services Setup .

3. Touch Accept to accept the Web Services terms of use and enable Web Services.

4. On the screen that appears, touch OK to allow the printer to automatically check for product updates.

5. If the Printer Update Options screen is displayed, select one of the options.

6. When the printer is connected to the server, the printer prints an information page. Follow the instructions on the information page to finish the setup.
