I have two  HP OfficeJet Pro 9730 printers with same name installed on my network. HP Smart and now warranty checking cannot tell them apart. I am unable to give them unique names at the highest level so that I can distinguish between them. 

 

If I open lower level windows / delve deep into the printer screens I can identify which printer is where but I'd prefer not to be opening numerous screens to identify the printer I want to print to.

 

How do I rename HP OfficeJet Pro 9730e Series to eg Printer Study so when I open the HP Smart App the window displays Printer Study?

Use the new  "HP APP" as it allows a nickname.

Thanks. I’m not a smart phone app user so my desktop issue has not been fixed. When I use the smartphone app I’ll use the nickname.

That was the windows 11 version.  The app is not available for 32 bit or older windows.

 

If it does not show up in the microsoft store then run wsreset to reset the store.  I have no experience with MacOS other than a hackintosh years ago.  It is suppose to replace hp smart.

 

If it still does not show up possibly the UK version is not available ???
