unable to go to EWS on hp envy 4510 printer through browser

says we could not verify the certificate: reason = untrusted on chrome with no way to get past it since an update to the way certificates are handled in chrome. need help fixing this.

If Chrome won't let you "Accept the risk" and bypass the warning, use a different browser.

What?

Browser security does not understand local networks, for example, any address starting with 192.168.xx.xx

Some browsers are more hostile to the situation than are others.

Do you have to abandon Chrome?

No, not if you like to use it.

You might well need to use a different browser when you want to use the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

NOTE:  Find printer IP address

Section Open the EWS over a local network orientation

OR

Open your Browser > Type / enter the Printer IP address into URL / Address bar

Reminder:  If asked enter the printer’s PIN number – the default number is generally located on the back or inside the printer.
