after install of latest HP software to correct MAC malware message, driver does not communicate with the printer to print.  All jobs end up in the queue waiting for printer to come available.  Never happens.  software installed correctly.  Scanner works and HP utilities prints configuration.  Problem looks to be in the driver itself.  Is there a fix for this?   How do you ever call HP.  website for support is a giant run around

Hi,

Please try to download and launch HP Easy Start, and launch the HP Uninstaller from the top menu to remove any existing driver instances:

Be sure to download its latest version below:
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/HP_Easy_Start.app.zip

Once the uninstall completes and you see the Setup New Device option, close HP Easy Start.

Next, restart your Mac and be sure to install any available software update:

https://support.apple.com/en-us/HT201541

Finally, download and install the latest drivers below:

http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softlib/software12/HP_Quick_Start/osx/Applications/ASU/HPPrinterDrivers5.1.dmg

Note: be sure to download the latest drivers and not to use any existing drivers, even if downloaded a few days ago, as it was recently updated.

Now try adding the printer under Printers & Scanners, be sure to select your printer model within the Use drop-down menu and then check for any difference.

Please let me know the results,

Shlomi
