@Doronar Welcome to HP Community!

I understand your printer cannot detect USB connection

Don't worry I'll try to help you out.

Did you make any changes to your printer?

Are you able to make a copy from your printer?

Have you tried checking using a different USB cable?

Please try the steps recommended below.

You can look in device manager and see if the device is being detected, but is just in a bad state. Go to the Windows Start button and in the search box enter device manager and select it from the list. When it opens, you will see a list of device categories. go all the way to the bottom where" Universal Serial Bus Controllers" is and click on the plus to open it up.

Do you see any icons with a yellow warning symbol on them?

Try uninstalling the printer software from root level on your PC and install the full feature printer drivers.

In Windows, search for and open Programs and Features.

Select your HP printer.

Select Uninstall.

In Windows, search for and open Devices and Printers.

In the Devices and Printers window look for your HP Printer. If you see it listed, right-click on it and choose "Delete" or "Remove Device.”

Open up the run command with the "Windows Key + R" key combo.

Type printui.exe /s and click OK.

Click on Drivers tab.

Look for HP Printer driver. If you see it click on it and click remove at the bottom.

Select OK.

Select Apply and OK on the Print Server Properties windows.

Close Devices and Printers.

Update the full feature printer software using this link.

Note: Connect the USB cable to the printer only when the software prompts you to connect while installing the drivers.
