When I print a document from word on my HP PC from my printer I get a message  "hpmsn101.dll not working"

Printing still occurs but need to click off message

I read your post and see that you are getting a message that the "Hpmsn101.dll stopped working" every time you print.  I will certainly do my best to help you.

 

If you’re running Windows, I would start by checking the installed printer software by downloading and running the HP Print and Scan Doctor. This tool can diagnose and fix many printing and printer software related issues. Please use this link to help you with that information: http://hp.care/2biN2XE 

 

Here is a link about the status notification popup and various ways to disable it either through the driver settings, management tools or by modifying the registry. HP UPD - Manage Status Notification Pop-ups

 

If you are still having an issue, uninstall and reinstall the printer software.

 

If you are using a USB connection, disconnect the cable.

Install the printer software, using this link.

Win7 SP1, 64-bit , Dell PC.  LJ1536dnf MFP.  Cannot access printer preferences or properties.  Everything updated.  Uninstalled and reinstalled printer software, twice, w/ multiple reboots.  Still cannot access preferences or properties, either through Devices & Printers or Print & Scan Doc, or any applications.  Error msg:  

 

Function address 0x6131b9e2 caused a protection fault.  (exception code 0xc0000005)  Some or all property page(s) may not be displayed.

 

This is really irritating, has taken hours.  Any ideas?
