It sounds like the HP Smart software might be conflicting with your display settings or another background process. Here are some troubleshooting steps to resolve the flickering issue:

  3. Also, update your graphics drivers under Display adapters.

Check for Windows Updates

  1. Go to SettingsWindows Update.
  2. Install any pending updates and restart your PC.

Disable Hardware Acceleration in HP Smart (if available)

  1. Open HP Smart.
  2. Go to Settings and look for a Hardware Acceleration option.
  3. If enabled, turn it off and restart the app.

Check Background Processes

  1. Open Task Manager (Ctrl + Shift + Esc).
  2. Look for any high CPU or GPU usage when HP Smart is running.
  3. End any non-essential tasks that might be conflicting.

Run Windows Troubleshooters

  1. Open SettingsSystemTroubleshoot.
  2. Run the Display troubleshooter and Printer troubleshooter.

Reinstall HP Smart

  1. Uninstall HP Smart from SettingsApps.
  2. Restart your PC.
  3. Download and reinstall the latest version from the Microsoft Store.
