Hello everyone

What is the default EWS password for the Color Laser 150nw? The printer is new and has no previous owner. Admin and empty don't work. There's no sticker with a PIN either. I'm really at a loss.

Please help me.

@Tosi1903, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your Color Laser 150nw!

We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.

Since your HP Color Laser 150nw is brand new with no previous owner, the default Embedded Web Server (EWS) password should typically be admin with a blank password, but since that’s not working, let's try a few things:

Check the Printer's Information Page – Some models print out default credentials when you do a Network Configuration Report or Printer Status Report. You can usually print this by pressing and holding the Resume or Wi-Fi button for about 5 seconds.

Try "admin" as both Username & Password – In some cases, both fields need "admin" instead of leaving one blank.

Factory Reset (if needed) – If all else fails, a factory reset might help. To do this:

Turn off the printer.

Press and hold the Cancel and Wireless buttons while turning it back on.

Keep holding until the LED indicators flash, then release.

This should reset everything, including the EWS password. Once reset, try accessing EWS again using admin with a blank password.

Let me know if that works or if you need more help! 😊

Take care, and have an amazing day!

Ich habe genau das gleiche Problem.

Alle hier genannten Lösungen zeigen ganz andere Reaktionen als genannt wurde.

Die Firmware konnte ich installieren und drucken kann ich auch.

"Network Configuration Report or Printer Status Report. You can usually print this by pressing and holding the Resume or Wi-Fi button for about 5 seconds."

Es passiert überhaupt nichts.

"Try "admin" as both Username & Password – In some cases, both fields need "admin" instead of leaving one blank."

Ohne Erfolg

"Press and hold the Cancel and Wireless buttons while turning it back on.

Keep holding until the LED indicators flash, then release."

Leuchten alle Dioden und auch nach langer Zeit kann man nur noch den Stecker ziehen.

Heute den Drucker erhalten. Ich bin am überlegen ob ich den Drucker gleich morgen zurück schicke.
