@jeffregretsthis, Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding connectivity issue!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
It sounds like your HP Envy 6155e is frozen on the “Return to Setup” screen — like it’s caught in a loop and refusing to listen. Since the usual reset attempts haven’t helped, here’s a slightly deeper reset you can try:
Semi-Full Reset:
Power off the printer.
Unplug the power cord from both the back of the printer and the wall.
Wait 60 seconds — let the printer breathe.
Press and hold the “Cancel” + “Wireless” buttons on the control panel.
While holding them, plug the power cord back in and keep holding for another 10-15 seconds.
Release the buttons and let the printer restart.
This reset should wake it up and let you start fresh.
Once it's responsive again, try reconnecting it using the HP Smart App for smoother setup over Wi-Fi.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!

@jeffregretsthis, I apologize for the inconvenience!
Let's try to troubleshoot and resolve the connectivity issues with your HP Envy 6155e All-in-One Printer.
Steps to Resolve Wi-Fi and Bluetooth Setup Issues
Check Printer and Network Setup:
- Ensure the printer is powered on.
- Verify that your network router is functioning correctly and is powered on.
- Ensure your mobile device or computer is connected to the same Wi-Fi network you intend to connect the printer to.
Restart the Printer:
- Turn off the printer by pressing the power button.
- Wait for about 10 seconds, then turn the printer back on.
Reattempt Wi-Fi Setup Using HP Smart App:
- Using the App:
- Download the HP Smart App from the App Store or Play Store.
- Open the app and follow the onscreen instructions to set up the printer.
- Ensure Bluetooth is enabled on your mobile device (if setting up via mobile).
Using the Printer’s Front Panel:
- On the front panel, tap or swipe down the tab at the top of the screen to open the dashboard.
- Tap the Wi-Fi icon
.
- Tap the settings icon
.
- Tap Wireless Settings and then Wireless Setup Wizard.
- Follow the instructions on the screen to complete the setup.
Resetting Network Settings
If the above steps do not resolve the issue, you might need to reset the printer’s network settings:
Restore Network Settings:
- Go to the printer’s settings via the front panel.
- Swipe down the dashboard and tap the settings icon
.
- Scroll down the menu and tap Network setup > Restore network settings.
Use Default Configuration Mode:
- Ensure the printer is in Default Configuration mode if it isn't newly initialized.
- To do this, refer to the HP Smart App and reset the configuration if needed.
Hope this helps!
Take care, and have an amazing day!
