Hi there.

I have a laptop with wifi that I can connect to a mobile phone for internet access and that bit works fine.

I also have a old printer (HP Photosmart C4585) which works fine with this laptop (windows 10) with USB cable.

I now want to print via wifi….How can I do this?

Do I have to get a router and use this as a means? Or can I just print straight from  laptop to printer?

I have looked on the internet for answers but what little information there is out there...their situation does not quite mimic mine and so I can not quite apply their solution.

Any ideas anyone?

Hi @Indyandy

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the wireless connection.

Please try these steps -  Setting Up the Printer for a Wireless Network

You may also refer to page# 14 from the User Manual for steps.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.
