Try checking with Brother Printer Support for your Brother Printer
Example
https://www.brother-usa.com/support/mfcj4620dw
Scroll down and check the FAQ - ask your question (short description)
Check the video section, too.
If you have not done so, recheck the Scaling options.
Complete steps to clean the printer.

You are welcome.
It is perhaps a driver issue - the printer software for the computer is different than the application used on a mobile device. Generally, there are more options and control using the computer printer software - and there is also more that can go wrong.
If the computer is "very new", make sure all the Windows Updates are applied before installing other software.
For example, the printer software is dependent on the Windows File System - anything "not done" on the Windows side can impact the printer software.
Later - Windows Updates can occasionally corrupt what "was" a perfectly good printer driver installation. It's not "bad" software - it's just so very complicated to keep everything working together as it ought.
What else?
After other options fail and you "know" it should be working,
HP printers can benefit from a simple Printer Restart / Reset
Wait! Check with your Brother printer support before applying, of course.
What is the Restart / Reset?
Example
Restart the printer
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the printer.
- Unplug the power cord from the power source.
- Wait 60 seconds.
- Reconnect the power cord to a wall outlet and to the printer.
note:
HP recommends plugging the printer directly into a wall outlet.
Good Luck.
