Sadly I can only report that none of this has worked.
I have installed the HP s/w and drivers quite a few times now and same end result, ability to scan to Mac and vis vera, plus No ability to print using iOS devices at all.
All since I loaded MacOS Sierra.
So my HP printer has been reduced to print only...... and ieven thats a bit flaky on occasions now.

Hi@DT_68,
Thanks for the response.
I request you to try “HP Easy scan” app from iTunes and check if that helps you scan from printer to PC.

Hope the information shared will help you. Please share for more.

Hi, If you check the email trail, you will note that I have already installed HP Easy Scan app and it didnt solve the problem......as it it cant locate a printer / scanner to choose from?
So by me updating to Apple OS Sierra, seems to have ceased any ability for me to scan top my MAC or via versa, or indeed print using Airprint from iOS devices to the HP printer....
I have a perfectly good printer, that worked just fine, until this update.

HI,
NOPE, NONE OF THIS WORKED. ALL THE PROBLEMS STILL EXIST.
CANNOT SCAN FROM PRINTER TO MAC OR VISA VERSA.
IOS DEVICES CANNOT PRINT TO PRINTER AS NOT AIRPRINT PRINTER FOUND.
AFRAID NONE OF THIS HAS WORKED TO SORT OUT THE PROBLEM, WHICH ONLY OCCURED WHEN I INSTALLED THE MACOS SIERRA UPDATE...

After hours of attempts at installing and re-installing software, the scan settings (from printer to mac and visa versa) have finally returned and AirPrint functionality has also returned.... happy days.
My only concern is what happens if I upload a newe MacOS Sierra update, will this impact the printer s/w and or drivers plus AirPrint fiunctionality?
In future, what advise can you give to avoid these issues?
I do appreciate all your assistence to date - you and your colleagues to date.
Regrtads,
