About 5 years ago I bought a HP pavilion running windows 10 and envy 5540 printer as a package. Last month I bought a new pavilion running windows 10 and cannot get it to print in colour. The old pavilion prints in colour but the printer options page doesn't even give me the option to select colour. ( according to the web I should get a box under the "print quality" box but I don't get that box?
I have all the new drivers etc and am puzzled what to try next?

Welcome to the HP Support Community. I'd be happy to assist you with the printing issue.
Download and install HP Print and Scan Doctor, it is a Windows tool to fix printer issues. Restart the computer after the process.

Thanks. I managed to find a solution in the community. It required deleting everything related to the printer, then performing a run.exe command to find an embedded driver. After I deleted that and restarted the computer I reloaded the printer and it worked.
