Photosmart 8150 Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Printer was fine on the old computer Windows 7.  Printer gets setup on new computer but gives an error when I print even a test page.  I have updated the drivers.  Run Print and Scan Doctor, had spooling issues so I stopped and started print spooler.  Chatted with the virtual agent.  Tried to setup with usb and wireless to my network.

At a loss as to what to try next.

@comprog, Welcome to the HP Support Community!

What is the error you get while trying to print?

There is no HP Print driver available for this model printer to work on a Win 10 PC. Due to its age, the support is limited.

Install the printer using Windows built-in driver

Refer to this document to know how.

Hope this helps! Keep me posted.

Did you try installing the printer using Windows built-in driver?

Try this and let me know how it goes.

I did try the Windows Built in Print Driver I think. It was a little unclear as to how to do it.  See the print screens below.

Is the above what is meant by the Windows Built in driver? Or is there something else?

The instructions were not very clear.

Yes, this is the right way to install the printer using built-in drivers. If the issue persists, I think this issue needs some additional technical assistance that can be better provided through one-on-one interaction or a remote session with our HP Support team.

Please reach out to the HP Support in your region.

Keep me posted for any other assistance.
