I have a red light blinking with an envelope inside window. How di i remove it i have done it all

The envelope icon usually indicates an issue with the paper tray, envelope feed, or a print job stuck in the queue. Let’s go through some troubleshooting steps to get your printer back on track:

 

Check for Paper Jams

  1. Turn off the printer and unplug it.
  2. Open the input and output trays and inspect for any stuck paper or debris.
  3. If you find any, gently remove it without tearing.
  4. Plug the printer back in and turn it on.

Verify Paper and Tray Settings

  1. Ensure the paper is loaded correctly and aligned properly in the tray.
  2. Check that you are using the correct paper size and type (especially if you’re printing on envelopes).
  3. Open your printer settings on your computer and confirm that the paper size matches what’s in the tray.

Clear Print Queue

  1. On your computer, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers.
  2. Right-click on your HP 4100 printer and select See what’s printing.
  3. Cancel any stuck print jobs, then restart the printer.

Could you confirm a few things for me?

  1. Are you trying to print on an envelope, or does this happen with regular paper as well?
  2. Have you recently changed or refilled the ink cartridges?
  3. Does the blinking light stop when you remove the paper from the tray?
