The answer given by Rachel571 would probably not work for very long if it works at all, because Rachel571 evidently does not know about DHCP vs. Static IP addresses, or doesn't want to discuss it.  A networked printer must be on a static IP or it will not work the next time DHCP changes the printer's IP address.  HP printer people clearly need more training in network protocols.
