I have a Smart Tank 7301 that shows an offline status, even though it indicates it is connected to Wi-Fi.
The Information report states it is connected to the Same Wifi as my computer, but the only way to get the printer to work is to plug the USB cord into my laptop.
I have reset the power on the printer and the Wi-Fi router. I did a factory reset and set up the printer as well.

Hi @Klein95,
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for reaching out about your query regarding your printer's connectivity!
We're thrilled to have the opportunity to assist you and provide a solution.
Try these steps:
1. Verify Printer Connection:
- Ensure the printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Sometimes proximity to the router can affect connectivity, so ensure the printer is within a suitable range.
2. Check the Printer Status:
- Wake the printer from sleep mode to check if it changes status.
- Print a network configuration page from the printer to verify its IP address and ensure it matches the network your computer is on.
3. Reconfigure the Printer on the Network:
- Use the HP Smart app to set up the printer again, ensuring the steps for wireless configuration are correctly followed.
4. Update Printer Firmware:
- Ensure that your printer's firmware is updated. You can check for updates through the HP Support website or the printer's software.
5. Remove and Re-add the Printer:
- On your computer, go to "Devices and Printers" (in Control Panel on Windows) or "Printers & Scanners" (in System Preferences on macOS).
- Remove the printer and then add it again to refresh the connection.
6. Disable VPN and Firewall Temporarily:
- Disable any VPNs or firewalls temporarily that might be blocking the printer's network communication.
7. Set the Printer IP Address Manually:
- Assign a static IP address to the printer. This can prevent the printer's IP from changing, which may cause the offline error.
I hope this helps.
