Microsoft Windows 11

I tried to connect a new laptop to my HP printer and talked to Alex at HP.  Without my knowledge, he sent me to US Repair and it wound up costing me $750.  He said it was a 3 year virus etc protection.   Not so.  Anyone else have this problem.  Trying to get money back.

You were never talking to HP.

Scammers are clever.

As long as scammers can trap their prey, Scammers and thieves will continue to operate.

I see that you tagged a response on another thread - same answer applies here:

No matter what you think, what you say, where you think you landed, "Alex" was not HP Support.

Contact your bank - report the charge as fraudulent.

Should there be a response, look for a message here before the agent contacts you using other methods.

HP will not suddenly call you on the phone or text you.
