HP OfficeJet Pro 8028e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

Installing 8028e with Archer AX3000 router via Win 11 laptop. See several SSID's not the 2.4 or 5G bands on AX3000. Both bands have channel set to Auto at the moment.  Have restarted printer / router, printer and router are in close proximity, another older HP Printer connects to same router Ok. Anyone got experience tinkering with router settings or debugging to understand root cause to make the connection or is it trial and error iteration through all the channels?

Have you tried to connect with the printer wireless wizard from the printer's front panel?

Yes, the wizard lists several routers but not my 2.4 or 5G ones

For testing purposes can you create a guest network 2.4GHz without a password and try to connect.

Sure, will try that straight away

The 2.4G Guest network does not display in the printer wizard list of networks. Tried another device and I see the guest network Ok.

Weird because that router is 802.11.ax I would blame it on a new router not being compatible with a printer. In your opening post, you wrote that an older HP printer can connect which makes no sense at all.

Old printer which connects is HP OfficeJet Pro 8600 Plus. Maybe I should see if I can re-configure router to not use ax?
