All of a sudden, this 8028e (6 months old) is losing connectivity to all Apple devices. On occasion, the blue light will blink. I’ve reset the connection at the router etc with no results. I’ve done a factory reset and used HP SMART to redo the setup. On the MAC (running Ventura), after removing the printer, it won’t reconnect to the printer so the printer can’t be added to the system. I have an old hp 7800 That’s nit showing any issues at all so I don’t think it’s an Apple issue. Any ideas?

Hi @pingber,
Welcome to the HP Support Community
I understand you are facing an issue with your WI-FI setup issues HP Envy 6000 all-in-one Printer Not to worry I will help you to get a resolution to resolve the issue.
To assist you better:
- How far is the printer located from the WiFi router?
- Do you have a dual-band router?
- If you have a dual-band router and both 2.4GHz and 5GHz networks share the same name/SSID, the printer will not be able to connect to the network. In this case, contact your Internet service provider to assign different names to both networks.
While you respond to that, Let's perform a power drain:
- With the printer turned on, disconnect the power cord from the rear of the printer and also unplug the power cord from the wall outlet.
- Remove USB cable, if present.
- Wait for 2-3 minutes, press and hold the power button on your printer for about 30 seconds to remove any additional charge.
- Now plug back the power cable straight to a wall outlet without any surge protector or an extension cord (This is important) and then plug back the power cord to the printer.
- Turn on the printer and wait till warm-up period finishes and the printer is idle

Please note… after spending FIVE HOURS (from 5:30 AM to 10:30 AM) with tech support, we tried all of your suggestions and more. Nothing worked. The warranty on this printer still had 146 more days to go. I informed the tech a few times that I was IT and I expected a replacement. She wanted to do more tests. After her last test, the printer display locked and wouldn’t unlock even after a few power drain cycles. Couldn’t factory reset because screen was locked. HP SMART wouldn’t recognize the printer. I requested a replacement to which she replied that it was a connection issue (I told her that five hours prior) and it had to be referred to a specialist who would call within two hours. It’s now been four days, no call. I called Costco and told them the situation. They told me to pack it up and send back to HP prepaid label. A new printer (at no charge) will be here tomorrow.
so, if COSTCO could do that in less than 10 minutes, why couldn’t HP? I’ve had problems with this printer and another one (which was returned after a week of nonsense). This one when it arrives will be returned to Costco for a refund. I’ll be buying a Brother laser printer. After 25 years in the business, I’ll no longer be recommending HP printers.
