Hi @Ty130 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand you want to unlock the wireless setup wizard on your HP Officejet Pro 8615 E-All-In-One Printer, follow these steps:
Method 1: Using the Printer's Control Panel
Access Administrator Settings:
- On the printer's control panel, touch the Setup icon (gear icon).
Navigate to Printer Maintenance:
- Scroll to and touch Printer Maintenance or Printer Maintenance Menu.
Unlock Features:
- Look for an option labeled Administrator Settings or Administrator Control.
- If prompted, enter the administrator password. If you don’t know the password, try using the default password (it might be blank or "123456").
- Once you gain access, find and disable the Feature Lock or Lock Wireless Setup option.
Restart the Printer:
- After unlocking the features, restart your printer.
Method 2: Using the Embedded Web Server (EWS)
Obtain Printer's IP Address:
- Print a network configuration page from your printer to find its IP address. This is typically found under the network settings menu on the control panel.
Access the EWS:
- Open a web browser on a device connected to the same network as your printer.
- Enter your printer’s IP address in the address bar and press Enter.
Log into the EWS:
- Click on the Settings or Network tab.
- If prompted, enter the administrator password.
Unlock Wireless Setup:
- Look for settings related to Security, Administrator Settings, or Feature Lock.
- Disable any options that lock the wireless setup.
Save Changes and Restart:
- Save any changes you make and restart your printer.
Method 3: Reset to Factory Settings
If the above methods don't work, you might need to reset your printer to factory settings. This will erase all custom settings, including passwords and network configurations.
Factory Reset:
- On the printer’s control panel, touch the Setup icon.
- Navigate to Printer Maintenance and look for Restore or Reset options.
- Select Restore Factory Defaults.
Reconfigure the Printer:
- After the reset, you'll need to reconfigure the printer from scratch.

None of these options work.
method1 doesn’t work because I have no printer maintenance button under the settings.
method 2 doesn’t work because it won’t connect to a network because that option is locked
method 3 doesn’t work for the same reason as method 1
