Hi @Kaybwos,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Yes, your HP OfficeJet Pro 9010 All-in-One Printer does support security features that can help restrict access, including locking the printer with a PIN or password for certain functions.

1. Access the Embedded Web Server (EWS)

You can configure security settings through the printer’s web interface:

  1. Make sure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
  2. Find the printer’s IP address on the control panel:
    • Tap the Wi-Fi icon or go to Settings > Network Setup > Network Summary.
  3. Enter the IP address into a web browser to open the Embedded Web Server (EWS).

2. Set an Administrator Password

  • In the EWS, go to Settings > Security > Administrator Settings.
  • Set a password to prevent unauthorized access to printer settings.

3. Enable PIN Printing (Optional)

Some models support PIN-protected printing:

  • Go to Settings > Security > Job Storage or Print Security.
  • Enable PIN to Print or Secure Print if available.
  • This requires users to enter a PIN on the printer before a job prints.

4. Restrict Access to Features

  • You can disable or restrict access to:
    • USB printing
    • Faxing
    • Web Services
    • Network protocols (e.g., FTP, Telnet)

I hope this helps.

Take care, and have an amazing day!
