HP OfficeJet Pro 9015e All-in-One Printer
Microsoft Windows 11

I restarted the modem/router, printer and computer and printer status in HPSmart still says offline

The printer works just fine with my other 2 computers, desktops windows 10

The problem with printing is with my HP Envy Laptop running Windows 11

I even tried putting in the printer's IP address and It could not be found.  I had fixed a similar issue last week by entering the IP address

Help would be much appreciated   Thanks!

Hi @DennisN49,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It sounds like you've already taken several troubleshooting steps to address the issue with your HP DeskJet 9010e printer being offline on your HP Envy laptop running Windows 11. Since the printer is working fine with your other Windows 10 desktop computers, the issue seems to be specific to the connection between your HP Envy laptop and the printer. Here are some additional steps you can try to resolve the problem:

Restart Devices: Ensure that both your HP Envy laptop and the HP DeskJet 9010e printer are turned on and properly connected to the same Wi-Fi network. Then, restart both the laptop and the printer to refresh their connection to the network.

Check Wi-Fi Connection: Verify that your HP Envy laptop is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, a laptop may inadvertently connect to a different network, causing printing issues.

Update Printer Drivers: Make sure that you have the latest printer drivers installed on your HP Envy laptop. Outdated or incompatible drivers can cause communication issues with the printer. You can download and install the latest drivers from the HP website or use the HP Smart app for automatic updates.

Restart Print Spooler Service: Press the Windows key + R, type "services.msc" (without quotes), and press Enter to open the Services window. Scroll down and locate the "Print Spooler" service. Right-click on it and select "Restart" from the context menu. This will refresh the print spooler service on your laptop, which may resolve the offline status issue.

Disable Firewall/Antivirus: Temporarily disable any firewall or antivirus software on your HP Envy laptop that may be blocking communication with the printer. Once disabled, try printing again to see if the issue is resolved.

Reinstall Printer Drivers: Uninstall the printer drivers from your HP Envy laptop and then reinstall them. This can sometimes resolve driver-related issues that may be causing the printer to appear offline.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
