HP LaserJet Pro P1606dn Printer
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

After recently installing a new modem/router for my internet service my ethernet-connected HP LaserJet Pro P1606dn Printer stopped working and won't reinstall.  I believe I've deleted all versions of the printer and attempted to reinstall with the most recent software, and I've also tried out the "Scan Doctor".  During the install I've tried searching for the printer, and entering all of the Network information  manually.  The ethernet light on the back of the printer has a solid amber light and a green blinking light.  I've also tried restarting the printer prior to installation.  After searching the IP addresses on my network I can find the printer at it's normal address.  Attempting to connect to the IP address through a browser didn't work either.  The new modem/router is a Technicolor DOCSIS Gateway CGM4331.  Bridged on to that is my old Asus RT-AC68U router.  I've tried plugging the printer ethernet cable in to both routers, and I've tried using a different network cable.  During installation I've disabled all of my Firewall, public and private.  I'm running a Windows 10 PC.  Any ideas?  Thanks!

Problem solved... I did a factory reset of the printer.  This appears to have released the old modem's default IP Gateway along with the IPv4 address to allow reassignment under the new modem's IP address.  The installation software was then able to find the printer on the network and complete it's installation.

Hi,

Could you please clarify your printer's IP Address?

Also, from your PC search for CMD and open Command Prompt, then type IPCONFIG and locate the IPv4 Address of your printer.

Be sure to clarify both IPs, are they similar? (e.g. 10.0.0.5 vs. 10.0.0.3) with a difference in the last section only, or may it much different?

Thank you for your reply.  The IPv4 address printed from the Self Test/Device Configuration of the printer is 192.168.1.8 .  Running ipconfig from an Admin command prompt does not show any IP address for the printer.  I also ran the Angry IP Scanner software and found no printer address among the dozen addresses it found.  Thanks again for any help you are able to provide.
