Hi @Marti410,
Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query.
I understand that you have installed a new modem at home, it can affect the connection between your HP Envy 6055 All-in-One printer and your network.I would request you to please follow the steps:
Reset Printer’s Wireless Connection
- On the printer, press and hold the Wireless button for about 5 seconds until the blue light starts blinking.
- This puts the printer into Wi‑Fi setup mode.
Use HP Smart App
- On your phone or computer, connect to your new Wi‑Fi network.
- Open the HP Smart app (download/update if needed).
- Tap Add Printer → Set Up a New Printer.
- Select your Envy 6055 and enter the new Wi‑Fi password.
Verify Connection
- Once connected, the wireless light should turn solid blue.
- Print a Network Configuration Page (press the Information button) to confirm the printer has a valid IP address on your new network.
Update Devices
- On your computer, go to Printers & Scanners.
- Remove the old printer entry (linked to the old network).
- Re‑add the printer so your computer points to the new networked printer.
Re-add the Printer:
Windows:
- Open the "Devices and Printers" in the Control Panel.
- Remove your printer from the list and then add it again.
Mac:
- Go to "System Preferences" > "Printers & Scanners."
- Remove your printer and re-add it by clicking the "+" button.
Take care and have an amazing day!

I have followed every HP direction for changing wifi network. the app doesn't find printer, can't connect to the wifi rendering the printer unusable. When you try to get tech help, they want to force you into a service plan. A SERVICE PLAN to change wifi network?? Absurd. Do better HP, as you don't back your products whatsoever.
