Hi everyone,
when I add my new printer as AirPrint printer I can print out one or tow jobs. After these two jobs the little red 1 appears for several seconds and disappears afterwards without any printing. I then have to deinstall the printer, shut it off. Turn it on again, install again, then it prints again for one or two jobs.
Any recommendations?
Best regards
Holger

If you are able to print from other devices, it means the printer is working fine. This could be an issue with the macOS Big Sur. Have you tried contacting Apple Support for assistance?

Welcome to the HP Support Community.
Have you tried using the HP Smart App? https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_2073929-1413451-16
Also, try a firmware update: https://support.hp.com/us-en/document/ish_1776648-1643972-16
Let me know if this helps.

Hello Betty,
thank you so much for your reply! I am sorry I didn't manage to answer earlier as I went on a business trip.
I downloaded the hp smart app on my Mac and on my iPhone. On the iPhone it works well whereas on the Mac the printer can't be found 😞
I checked the firmware version of the printer which is actually more up to date (V3.82.01.11) than the version on the support site (V3.82.01.08)...
Best regards
Holger

Let's Remove and add the printer
Click the Apple menu, and then select System Preferences.
Depending on your operating system version, click Print & Fax, Print & Scan, or Printers & Scanners.
Click the name of your printer, click the Minus sign and then delete the printer.
Click the Plus sign and then click Add Printer or Scanner.
Click the Use or Print Using box, and then select AirPrint
Click Add to add the printer to the list.
Try to print.
Keep me posted for further assistance.

Hello Betty,
I tried your solution. Without restarting the printer it didn't print out anything, the printjob just disappears. After shutting down and restarting the printer it behaves as described before. 1-2 times it works, afterwards the printjob disappears without any printout.
Best regards
Holger
