Ugh. Wishing we hadn't switched our router, as now the printer can't connect to BT Smart Hub 2.  I've tried WPS, reinstalling the HP Smart app and switching 5ghz channel off temporarily. Nothing has worked. I've spent all day on this.

Is the Direct Envy printing connection going to work? If so, i could use that, but would have to cancel HP Instant Ink

Hi @Pinnypin,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

There could be a few reasons why your HP Envy 6010 printer is not connecting to your BT Smart Hub 2 router. Here are some steps you can try to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Restart both your printer and router: Sometimes, simply restarting both your printer and router can help resolve connectivity issues.
  • Check Wi-Fi signal strength: Make sure that your printer is within range of your Wi-Fi network. Move the printer closer to the router and try connecting again.
  • Ensure that your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network: Double-check that your printer is connected to the correct Wi-Fi network. Sometimes, printers can pick up neighboring Wi-Fi networks that have similar names.
  • Update printer firmware: Check for any firmware updates for your printer and install them. This can sometimes help with connectivity issues.
  • Check router settings: Check the router settings to ensure that the Wi-Fi network is functioning properly. You may need to adjust the security settings or update the router firmware.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
