HP ENVY Photo 6200 All-in-one
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I bought a used HP ENVY Photo 6200 all-in-one printer and it's the best printer I've ever had. It prints perfect wirelessly from my phone and my home computer. The b&w is crisp and the color, especially on the highest quality paper, is beautiful and great for photos. I loved it so much I stocked up on cartridges, sure this was the last printer I would ever need.

Then, horror of horrors, I changed internet providers from Centurylink to Wave. Computer connected perfectly and WAY faster. Phone connected perfectly and WAY faster. Both running HP Smart. Printer recognizes the correct modem then refuses to connect to it, so HP Smart can't find the printer.

If I try to turn on the bluetooth, a message says "Bluetooth smart is turning on" and stays forever. The only way to turn it off is to turn off the printer, then turn it back on again.

The diagnostic report says "Wireless On...disabled." I called Wave assistance and they guarantee me the problem has nothing to do with their modem and there are no changes they can make. The report also says something about "MAC addressing" which they assured me they have no control over.

I downloaded the diagnostic tool, HP Print and Scan Doctor, which couldn't find the printer so offered no help whatsoever. How was it supposed to find it if the problem is it can't connect to the modem? How does changing the modem make the printer unable connect to Bluetooth? How does the modem make any changes to the printer whatsoever?

I need to print something right away. If this problem isn't solved soon, I'll be buying a new printer next week. It will be anything BUT HP unless an actual human can tell me what model works with WAVE, hopefully using the same cartridges, and can explain to me why this one suddenly won't. What do I do with it? Can I sell it or is it broken? And what do I do with all these cartridges? Anyone want a good deal on a printer with absolutely nothing wrong with it except it won't do anything, along with a bunch of cartridges that are useless with any other printer?

Your printer supports 2,4GHz wireless-only if your new modem is a 5GHz wireless printer can't connect to it.

The computer and smartphones are dual-band meaning they can work both 2,4/5GHz wirelesses, but only new printers are dual-band, old models are 2,4GHz only.

Check first if your new modem/router 5GHz and can it work on 2,4GHz.

The printer gives me a choice of 2.4 or 5. Both don't work.

Run a wireless setup wizard and try connect to 2,4GHz wireless. the printer can detect both wireless but can only connect to 2,4GHz.

The printer asks whether to connect at 2.4 or 5. Neither work.

Try to connect to 2,4
