Hi everyone,
Looking like I've got a problem about an SSID name changed when I changed my Internet provider...
I reset my printer but the issue keeps lasting and I can't connect it to wifi.
Unfortunately, HP support is not available since my printer is not supported any more.
Thank you for your help.

Hi @Didier_008
Welcome to the HP Support Community!
Thanks for posting your query! We're here to help you get back up and running.
Since you've changed your SSID (Wi-Fi network name), your HP Photosmart C4700 series printer is likely still trying to connect to the old network. Based on the connectivity status in your image, the printer is disconnected and attempting to associate with a network but hasn't successfully done so.
Steps to Fix the Issue
1. Reset the Printer’s Network Settings
- On the printer’s control panel, press and hold the Wireless button until the light starts blinking.
- This resets the network settings and allows you to set up a new connection.
2. Reconnect Using HP Smart
- Open the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- Click Add Printer and follow the on-screen instructions to connect it to the new Wi-Fi network.
3. Use WPS (If Your Router Supports It)
- Press the WPS button on your router.
- Then, press and hold the Wireless button on the printer until the light starts blinking.
- The printer should automatically connect to the new network.
4. Manually Enter Wi-Fi Credentials
- If the above methods don’t work, you may need to manually enter the new Wi-Fi name and password via the printer’s Embedded Web Server (EWS).
- To access EWS:
- Connect the printer to your computer via USB.
- Open a browser and enter the printer’s IP address (check the printer’s network settings for this).
Since your printer is currently in Ad-hoc mode, it may need to be switched to Infrastructure mode to connect properly. If you need help with that, let me know!
