Hi @TXNOTGOOD,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
Yes, you can connect multiple computers to an HP 2800 series wireless printer. Here’s how it typically works:
1. Wireless Connection
- Network Printer: If your HP 2800 series printer is connected to your Wi-Fi network, any computer that is also connected to the same network can print to the printer.
- Setup on Multiple Computers:
- Install Printer Software: Install the HP printer software on each computer that you want to connect to the printer. You can download the latest software from the HP Support website.
- Add the Printer: During the installation process, the software should detect the printer on the network. Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup.
- Select the Printer: Make sure to select the network printer option when adding the printer to each computer.
2. Printer Sharing
- Network Sharing: If the printer is connected to one computer via USB, you can set up printer sharing on that computer, allowing other computers on the same network to access the printer.
- Share Printer: On the computer to which the printer is connected, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers. Right-click on the printer and select Printer properties. Go to the Sharing tab and enable printer sharing.
- Add Shared Printer: On other computers, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a printer. Select the shared printer from the network.
3. Using HP Smart Software
- HP Smart App: The HP Smart app can help manage your printer and connect multiple devices to it. Install the app on each computer or mobile device, and follow the instructions to connect to your printer.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
