Samsung Xpress SL-M2026 Laser Printer

Hello, I want to turn my Samsung Xpress M2026 (non-w) printer into a network printer, so I don't have to move it around when I need it or bring my laptop to the printer and connect it directly. I also can't hook it up to a stationary computer as all the computers in the house are laptops that need to move around.

I want to know if I can hook it up to the router via USB and setup remote printing for the devices on the network.
I have tried just hooking it up and trying to find the printer on the driver installation tool (I selected network connected printer on the lookup) but it couldn't find it, the printer was on and on standy.
I read that the tool uses SNMP and the SNMP port, which might be blocked by my ISP by default, on their page it says it's setup to avoid certain network attacks, they also say I can inquire and message them to have it unblocked if my reasons are valid.

My router is one: Fiberhome sr1041y provided by my ISP (it's not the ONT which i believe-not sure- is a ZTE f660)

Also on my router config page there is no mention of anything SNMP, but there are categories such as 'samba server', 'ftp server', 'dlns', 'upnp'.
So to sum up, I want to know if connecting to the printer via the USB port should normaly work and if the SNMP being blocked might be at fault. Do I really need to get a print server thingy and connect via the LAN port?
