I have left the printer unplugged and alone for 4 months.  I just installed new cartridges. I cannot get the printer to connect to the laptop.

If you are facing issues connecting your HP 8034e printer to your laptop, follow these steps to troubleshoot and resolve the issue:

Ensure Printer is Powered On: Verify that the printer is powered on and all connections are secure.

Check Network Connection: Make sure your printer is connected to the same network as your laptop. A strong and stable Wi-Fi connection is essential.

Use HP Smart App: Install the HP Smart app on your laptop. This app will help you set up the printer and manage its connection.

  • Download the HP Smart app and follow the on-screen instructions to add your printer.
  • Enable both Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on your laptop for easier detection.

Restart Devices: Restart your printer, laptop, and router to refresh all connections.

Update Printer Firmware:

  • Go to the HP Support page to check for any firmware updates.
  • Install updates if available.

Reinstall Printer Drivers:

  • Uninstall any existing printer drivers.
  • Download and install the latest drivers from the HP Support page.
