Hi @Cwinter6_8,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your frustration. Sometimes, despite following all the recommended steps, technical issues can persist. can still offer you some troubleshooting tips that might help resolve the issue:
Reset Network Settings:
- Press and hold the Wireless button on the printer for about 5 seconds until the light starts blinking, indicating that the printer is in Wireless Setup mode.
- Now, try setting up the Wi-Fi connection again from your computer or mobile device.
Printer Software Update:
- Ensure that your printer's firmware and software are up to date. You can usually find the latest updates on HP's official website. Updating the printer's software might resolve compatibility issues with your new Wi-Fi network. Software and Drivers for HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29w Printer
Forget Old Wi-Fi Network:
- If your printer is still trying to connect to an old Wi-Fi network, it might cause issues. Make sure to forget/delete any previously saved Wi-Fi networks from the printer's settings.
Router Settings:
- Check your router settings to ensure that it allows connections from new devices and that it's not blocking the printer's MAC address.
Manual Connection:
- If automatic setup fails, you can try manually entering your Wi-Fi network's SSID (name) and password directly into the printer settings using the control panel.
HP Smart App:
- Consider using the HP Smart app, available for mobile devices, to help with the setup process. It can often simplify the process and troubleshoot connectivity issues.
