Hello, I recently swapped WiFi providers to Virgin media, they sent a Hub 3.0 router, and now the printer will no longer connect to the WiFi. I tried several solutions I found online and also on this forum but the only one here that got close ended with HP sending a PM to the user.

thanks Francesco

Hi @Cesco83,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

I can understand the frustration of not being able to connect your HP 3520 printer to your new Virgin Media Hub 3.0 router. Let's try a few troubleshooting steps to resolve this issue.

  • Restart Your Devices: Sometimes, simply restarting your printer and router can resolve connectivity issues. Turn off both devices, wait for a minute, and then turn them back on.
  • Check Network Settings: Ensure that your Virgin Media Hub 3.0 router is broadcasting its Wi-Fi network, and the network name (SSID) and password haven't changed since you switched providers.
  • Printer Network Setup: On your HP 3520 printer, navigate to the wireless settings menu. Check if the printer can detect your Virgin Media Wi-Fi network. If it does, try to reconnect by entering the correct Wi-Fi password.
  • Forget and Reconnect: If the printer is still unable to connect, try removing the network settings for your old Wi-Fi network from the printer's memory. Then, search for available networks again and reconnect to your Virgin Media Wi-Fi network.
  • Manual IP Configuration: If your printer supports manual IP configuration, you can assign a static IP address within the range of your Virgin Media router's DHCP settings. This can sometimes resolve connectivity issues.
  • Firmware Update: Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP 3520 printer. Updating the printer's firmware might include improvements or fixes for connectivity issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.

Hi Alden4,

Thanks for your answer, sorry for the delay. It still does not work. Manual IP Configuration isn't there on this printer. The WPS button wireless direct connection doesn't work either.

Any other suggestion would be very appreciated, thank you!

Kindest regards,

Francesco
