Hi @BarryPA,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

If you're having trouble connecting your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M29W printer to a new wireless network, there are several troubleshooting steps you can try.

Check Network Settings on Printer:

  • Make sure the printer is turned on.
  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the "Network" or "Wireless" settings menu to verify that it is not still configured for the old network. If it is, you may need to perform a factory reset again.

Restart Router and Printer:

  • Restart both your wireless router and the printer. Unplug the router, wait 30 seconds, and then plug it back in. Allow it to fully restart before proceeding.

Ensure Proper Wi-Fi Signal:

  • Ensure that your printer is within the range of your wireless network and that there are no physical obstacles causing interference.

Reconnect to Wi-Fi:

  • On the printer's control panel, navigate to the wireless settings and select "Wireless Setup Wizard" or a similar option. Follow the on-screen instructions to search for and connect to your new wireless network.

Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup):

  • If your router supports WPS, you can use this method to connect your printer. On the printer, press the WPS button or navigate to the WPS setup option in the wireless settings. Then, press the WPS button on your router within a few minutes.

Static IP Address (Advanced):

  • If you are still unable to connect, consider assigning a static IP address to your printer. This can be done through your router's settings. Consult your router's manual or manufacturer's website for instructions on setting up a static IP address.

HP Smart App (Mobile Device):

  • If you have the HP Smart app installed on your mobile device, you can try using it to connect the printer to the new network. The app may provide a simpler way to set up the printer.

Update Firmware:

  • Ensure that your printer has the latest firmware installed. You can check for firmware updates on the HP support website.

Remember that it's important to double-check your new network's credentials (SSID and password) and make sure they are correctly entered during the setup process. Additionally, ensure that your new network is functioning correctly and that other devices can connect to it without issues.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
