Hi @therose14 ,
Welcome to The HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I understand your HP ENVY Pro 6458 All-in-One Printer can't connect to WiFi after changing your internet provider, here are some steps to help resolve the issue:
1. Check WiFi Network and Printer Compatibility
- Ensure that your printer is compatible with the new T-Mobile network.
- Verify that your printer supports the WiFi frequency band (2.4 GHz or 5 GHz) used by your T-Mobile router.
2. Restart Devices
- Printer: Turn off your printer, wait for 30 seconds, and then turn it back on.
- Router: Restart your T-Mobile router by unplugging it for 30 seconds and then plugging it back in.
- Computer/Phone: Restart the device you're using to connect to the printer.
3. Reconnect Printer to WiFi
- On the printer's control panel, go to the Wireless settings menu.
- Select WiFi Setup or Wireless Setup Wizard (the exact wording may vary).
- Choose your T-Mobile network from the list of available networks.
- Enter your WiFi password if prompted.
4. Update Printer Firmware Update the firmware on an HP printer
- Make sure your printer has the latest firmware. You can check for updates through the printer’s control panel or by visiting the HP website.
5. Check Router Settings
- Ensure that your router’s settings allow new devices to connect. Some routers have a feature that limits the number of devices or requires manual approval for new devices.
- Verify that the router's security settings (WPA/WPA2) are compatible with your printer.
6. Reinstall HP Smart App
- On your computer or smartphone, reinstall the HP Smart app and follow the setup instructions to reconnect your printer to the network.
7. Reset Printer Network Settings
- If the above steps don't work, you might need to reset your printer’s network settings. This can usually be done through the printer's control panel under Network or Wireless settings.
8. Contact T-Mobile Support
- If you’re still having trouble, there might be specific settings or issues with your new T-Mobile router. Contact T-Mobile support for assistance.
