Hi @Hdcartero
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
It sounds like you're facing two separate issues: connecting your HP OfficeJet 8610 printer to Wi-Fi and possibly trying to use Bluetooth (though the HP OfficeJet 8610 does not support Bluetooth printing). Let’s work through these issues step-by-step:
Connecting the HP OfficeJet 8610 to Wi-Fi:
Follow these steps to connect your HP OfficeJet 8610 to Wi-Fi:
1. Check Your Internet Connection
- Make sure your Wi-Fi network is functioning properly. Ensure your printer and computer/mobile device are connected to the same network.
- Check that the Wi-Fi router is working and is close enough to the printer.
2. Use the Wireless Setup Wizard on the Printer
- On the HP OfficeJet 8610 control panel, press the Wireless icon (or go to the Setup menu).
- Navigate to Wireless Setup Wizard under Network Setup (it may also be listed under Wireless Settings).
- The printer will search for available Wi-Fi networks. Select your network from the list and enter the Wi-Fi password.
- Your printer should now be connected to the Wi-Fi network. Once connected, try printing again.
3. Use WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup) If Supported
- If your router supports WPS (Wi-Fi Protected Setup), you can use it to connect the printer more quickly:
- On the printer, go to the Wireless menu and select Wi-Fi Protected Setup (WPS).
- Press the WPS button on your router within 2 minutes.
- The printer will automatically connect to the router.
4. Check for Printer’s Wireless Status
- After connecting, print a Wireless Test Report from the printer’s control panel to verify the connection.
- If the connection is successful, you should be able to print wirelessly.
5. Use the HP Smart App
- You can also download and install the HP Smart app on your computer or mobile device.
- The HP Smart app will guide you through the process of connecting your printer to the Wi-Fi network.
I hope this helps.
