My HP Office jet pro 9018 suddenly stopped printing. I've spent HOURS trying to remedy the problem. Tried a factory reset. Tried reinstalling. Tried reloading drivers. I've used HP virtual assistant. It's a mess

Hi @ETB2,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the trouble with your HP OfficeJet Pro 9018. Since you've already tried a factory reset, reinstalling, and reloading drivers, let's try a few other steps to troubleshoot the connection and printing issues.
Check Network Connection:
- Make sure your printer is connected to the same network as your computer.
- You can check the printer’s IP address from the printer’s control panel (Settings > Network > View IP Address).
- Ensure the IP address is accessible from your PC by pinging it through Command Prompt (on Windows) or Terminal (on Mac).
Reinstall Printer as a Local Printer:
- Sometimes, reinstalling as a Local Printer can bypass network issues.
- On Windows:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > Add a Printer.
- Choose The printer I want isn't listed > Add a local printer.
- Select the correct port and follow the on-screen instructions.
- On Mac:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners.
- Click the "+" button and select your printer.
Check for Firmware Update:
- Some issues may be fixed with the latest firmware. Go to your printer's control panel, navigate to Settings > Printer Maintenance > Update the printer and follow the prompts.
Clear Print Queue:
- On Windows:
- Go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers, right-click the printer, and select See what's printing. Clear any stuck jobs.
- On Mac:
- Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and open the print queue to cancel stuck jobs.
Reset the Network Settings (again):
- Sometimes, doing a reset on just the network settings can help without doing a full factory reset.
- On the printer’s control panel, go to Settings > Network > Restore Network Defaults.
- Then, reconnect to Wi-Fi.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
