I have a brand new ENVY 6455e Printer. I have started to set it up wirelessly, however when it asks for my wifi it only gives me the option to put in a password. I live in a building where the wifi has a username and a password. So I cannot connect my printer to the internet.
I then decided to try and connect my printer using USB. I connect it but it says that it cannot find the printer. My printer also has the sticker that says it needs to be connected wirelessly first before it'll work with USB.
I really need help connecting my printer to wifi, how can I add a username as well as a password? Or is there a wy to make it work with a USB?

Thank you for posting on HP Support Community.
Don't worry as I'll be glad to help, I understand you are unable to connect the printer to the Apartment network, to provide an accurate resolution, I need a few more details:
- What is the status of the wireless light on the printer, steady or blinking?
Given that you're on an Apartment network and you won't be able to connect that network.
Use Wi-Fi Direct when a local wireless network is unavailable. Click here: https://support.hp.com/za-en/document/ish_1841315-1637332-16 to know how to print with Wi-Fi Direct.
Hope this helps! Keep me posted for further assistance.

@Echo_Lake
When I press and hold the wifi button on the back of the printer, the wireless light on the front flashes a few times before turning off once the main printer starts pulsating purple.
I have followed your link and looked into Wi-Fi Direct, however it doesn't tell me how to set this up. It simply says to find the Direct Print name and password and then to print. I don't have a Direct print name or password so I don't think this will work for me.
If you have any more suggestions on how to make wireless or USB work, please let me know!

@Echo_Lake I have looked more into Direct Printing, I understand that you need to pint the printer info page to get the name and password. However, my printer isn't even set up yet. I have not been given the instructions on how to put in ink cartridges or how to add the paper since I have not been able to connect to anything. So I can't print that page yet.
