Update the printer firmware to resolve the issue
To resolve the issue, update the firmware to the latest version.
Use the following steps to download the printer firmware from the HP website and update the firmware using the HP Printer Update utility.
Step one: Download the printer firmware from HP website
Learn how to download the latest version of the printer firmware from the HP Support website.
Open a web browser on your computer, and then go to Software and Driver Downloads.
Select Printer.
Enter your printer model, and then click Submit.
To access your printer model directly from the Software and Driver Downloads page, click the appropriate link:
For HP DeskJet 4100e or HP DeskJet Plus 4100 All-in-One Printers:
Go to https://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/hp-deskjet-plus-4100-all-in-one-series/29378221.
Expand the Printer Firmware section, and then click Download.
Save the file on your computer and note the location of the saved file.
Step two: Connect the printer to Wi-Fi Direct
Learn how to connect your computer to a printer using a direct wireless connection (Wi-Fi Direct).
Print a Printer Information Page to obtain the Wi-Fi Direct name and password.
To print the Printer Information Page, press the Information button.
PRINTER INFORMATION PAGE FOR WI-FI PASSWORD
On your computer, click the Wireless icon from the taskbar, and then select Wi-Fi.
Select your printer (DIRECT-9F-HP DeskJet Plus 4100, for example), and then click Connect.
NOTE:
If your printer is not visible in the wireless network, turn off the Wi-Fi settings on your computer and try again.
SELECT THE PRINTER USING WI-FI DIRECT
Select the Connect using security key instead option.
CONNECT USING A SECURITY KEY INSTEAD OPTION
When prompted for your network security key, enter your Wi-Fi Direct password.
The Wi-Fi Direct password is available on the Printer Information Page.
ENTER WI-FI PASSWORD
Step three: Update the firmware
Learn how to update the firmware using HP Printer Update.
Make sure the printer is on and connected to your computer.
On your computer, locate the .exe firmware file.
Double-click the .exe file to start the upgrade process.
On the HP Printer Update screen, check whether your printer displays.
NOTE:
If your network printer does not display, use a USB cable to temporarily connect your printer to the computer. Wait for 20 seconds, and then click Refresh.
Make sure that your printer is in Ready status.
READY STATUS DISPLAYS IN HP PRINTER UPDATE
Select your printer's serial number check box, and then click Update.
CAUTION:
Do not turn off the printer during a firmware update. This can permanently damage your printer.
Reconnect the printer to the router. If required, reset Wi-Fi on your printer control panel and attempt to print.
To reset the Wi-Fi setting on your printer control panel, press the Wi-Fi and the Cancel
buttons simultaneously for three seconds.

So in my SMART APP it says 2208JR but on the paper it's printing, it says 2251D. This is so weird. Also, in my app it looks like it's all out of ink but on the website it's full.
Okay, I'll try this, but I can't do it at the moment as my only Windows PC doesn't have wifi and I can't connect to the IP of the printer.
However the newest firmware update says 2251D while my firmware version says TOP1FN2251DR. Believe it's the same? 😕
