My P1102w wireless printer has worked great for years. We got a new Modem/router a few days ago and now I cannot print. I have tried EVERYTHING HP has suggested online, unplugged everything plugged it back in, and still nothing. I am connected to the modem just fine with my Mac, our iPads and iPhones. I am beyond frustrated! HELP! I have Sonoma OS 14.5, which isn't even listed as an option here.

Hi @NancyFP46,
Welcome to HP Support Community.
Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.
I'm sorry to hear about the frustration you're experiencing with connecting your HP P1102w wireless printer to your new modem/router. Let's troubleshoot this issue.
Restart Printer and Router:
- Begin by turning off your HP P1102w printer and unplugging it from the power source. Then, restart your modem/router by unplugging it from the power source for about 30 seconds. After 30 seconds, plug in the modem/router again and wait for it to fully restart. Once the modem/router has restarted, plug in your printer and turn it on.
Check Wi-Fi Connection on Printer:
- On the printer's control panel, navigate to the network or wireless settings menu. Check if your Wi-Fi network is listed and if the printer is connected to the correct network. If not, select your Wi-Fi network from the list and enter the Wi-Fi password to connect the printer to the network.
Reinstall Printer Driver:
- Sometimes, reinstalling the printer driver on your Mac can help resolve connectivity issues. Go to System Preferences > Printers & Scanners, select your printer, and click the "-" button to remove it. Then, click the "+" button to add the printer again and follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the driver.
Check Firewall Settings:
- Ensure that your firewall settings are not blocking communication between your Mac and the printer. Temporarily disable the firewall on your Mac and try printing again to see if it resolves the issue.
Update Printer Firmware:
- Check if there are any firmware updates available for your HP P1102w printer. Updating the printer's firmware may resolve compatibility issues with the new modem/router. You can usually check for firmware updates through the printer's settings menu or HP's support website.
Factory Reset Printer:
- As a last resort, you can perform a factory reset on your printer to restore it to its original settings. Refer to your printer's user manual or HP's support website for instructions on how to perform a factory reset.
If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that there may be compatibility issues between your printer and the new modem/router.
I hope this helps.
Take care and have a good day.
