Hi @KathyBo,

Welcome to the HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query. I will be glad to help you.

Thank you for reaching out to HP Support. We understand how inconvenient it can be when your HP LaserJet Pro MFP M148dw won’t connect to your new wireless network, and we’re here to help restore that connection quickly.

Step 1: Restore Wi-Fi Setup Mode on the Printer

This allows the printer to be discoverable during setup.

  1. Turn on the printer.
  2. On the control panel, press and hold the Wireless button (📶) and the Cancel button () together for 5 seconds.
  3. Release both buttons.
    • The Wireless light should start blinking – this means your printer is now in Wi-Fi setup mode.

Wi-Fi setup mode remains active for about 2 hours.

Step 2: Install or Open the HP Smart App

  1. On your Windows 11 computer, go to:
  2. Download and install HP Smart: HP printer setup (HP Smart app) | HP® Support.
  3. Make sure your PC is connected to the new Wi-Fi.
  4. Open HP Smart and click “+ Add Printer”.
  5. Your printer should appear as "Setup" or "HP-Setup-XXX".
  6. Follow the on-screen instructions to connect the printer to your new Wi-Fi network.

Step 3: Confirm Wireless Connection

Once connected, the Wireless light on the printer should stop blinking and stay solid, indicating a successful connection.

Step 4: Print a Network Configuration Report (Optional)

To confirm connection details:

  1. Press the Information button (i) on the printer.
  2. The report will show the IP address and connection status.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
