New Asus Vivobook.  Windows 11 home.  My two other computers are on the same wireless network and print fine.  Asus shows offline.  HP software has been reloaded.  All units have been powered off/on multiple times. HELP!!

@Flamingo9, Welcome to HP Support Community,

Thank you for posting your query; I’m here to help by guiding you through steps to resolve this issue

Add the Printer Manually by IP Address

Sometimes Windows fails to find the printer automatically. Do this:

Find the Printer’s IP:

On the printer's touchscreen, go to:
Wireless Settings > Network Summary or Wi-Fi Settings > Network Configuration

Note the IP address (e.g., 192.168.1.45)

Add it to Windows:

Go to:
Settings > Bluetooth & devices > Printers & scanners > Add device

If it doesn’t appear automatically, scroll down and click:
“Add manually” > “Add a printer using a TCP/IP address or hostname”

Enter the IP address you noted earlier.

Select "Autodetect" or HP OfficeJet Pro 8610 if it appears.

Reinstall with HP Smart (Recommended for Windows 11)

Download HP Smart from the Microsoft Store.

Run HP Smart and sign in or skip account creation.

Let it detect your printer over the network.

If not detected, use “Set up a new printer” and enter the IP.

Run HP Print and Scan Doctor (Windows only):

Update Printer Firmware (Update the firmware on an HP printer | HP® Support)

  • Go to the HP Customer Support - Software and Driver Downloads page. Enter your printer model number and search for the latest firmware update. Follow the instructions to download and install the firmware update.

I hope this helps.

Please feel free to reply here if you have any questions or if you need further clarification on any of the steps.

Take care and have a good day.
